About Floor Construction on Strage Buildings

  • Probably one of the key elements is deciding which shed to purchase
  • Ours are standard with high quality pressure treated 4 x 4 runners. This is important since they will be in constant contact with the moisture, as well as providing the overall strength and stability of your building.
  • Next we use pressure treated 2 x 4 floor joists, NOT regular white pine. These are set either 12" or 16" OC standard...

Floor Sheeting Systems

  • Our standard floor sheeting on all Heavy duty buildings is an Engineered flooring system that is manufactured by Grant Forest Products.
  • This product is the top of the line product on the construction market today...
  • Unlike plywood, it is moisture resistant, insect repellant and backed by a 50 year residential manufacturer's warranty...
  • We also cover this product with a polyurethane coating which makes it entirely moisture repellant and much easier to clean up.
  • All of our Garage packages come standard with a 3/4" tongue and groove flooring system, that is more than adequate to hold and support any car and truck on a daily basis.

Wood Siding Choices (T-111 Type)

  • Check out our STANDARD exterior wood siding. It is called DURATEMP. Manufacturd by Roseburg Forest Products in Oregon. This product has a FIR plywood backer and a FIR composite.

Composite face on the outside which is what gives the exterior of our wood buildings that smooth, wood grain finish that will last the lifetime of your structure. It is easily repaintable not like the old T-111 style material that will check, split and delaminate over time...
